One of the most interesting places in Rome, this 900-year-old basilica is not one to be missed. Below the basilica is another carefully preserved temple dating back to the 4th Century AD. Even further down is the remnants of Ancient Rome – a larger building where early Christians practiced the then-new religion. Campo de’ Fiori is one of the oldest markets in Rome. The market was once a place for public executions – one of which is the philosopher Giordano Bruno.
